About the Jockey Club HKCGI Sports Governance Programme (Programme)

The purpose of the Programme is to enhance good governance practices within the sports community by promoting integrity, accountability, and transparency among National Sports Associations.

The Jockey Club HKCGI Sports Governance Programme (Programme) is organised by The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

About the Sports Governance and Integrity Alliance (SGIA)

The Sports Governance and Integrity Alliance (SGIA) is a collaborative initiative that strengthens governance across Hong Kong’s national sports associations (NSAs), establishes the city as a regional leader in clean and fair sports governance, and fosters public trust and sustainable development for athletes and the community.

The Sports Governance and Integrity Alliance (SGIA) was jointly launched by four key organisations: The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) and The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC).

The Sports Governance and Integrity Alliance (SGIA) was launched on 28 August 2025, marking the beginning of a three-year collaborative initiative to promote good governance and integrity within Hong Kong’s sports sector.

About the Certification Course in Sports Governance

The certification course is currently opened to the persons as nominated by the National Sports Associations (NSAs) and the eligible members of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI).

If you are a member of a National Sports Association (NSA) or The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), you can liaise with the relevant organisation for registration.

The certification course is offered to the persons as nominated by the National Sports Associations (NSAs) and the eligible members of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) free of charge.

No, there is no fee for the certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Yes, participants are encouraged to complete the course within a specified timeframe from the date of enrolment.

To complete the course, you must view all module videos, pass the post-video quizzes, and successfully complete the final assessment.
